Dr. Norah Whitten
PT, DPT
Dr. Norah is not only a physical therapist, but also an athlete, coach and mom. She grew up a competitive athlete, as a high level gymnast and diver, and found CrossFit while in PT school. From day one she was hooked, and it gave her a passion for functional movement and strength training that shapes how she treats patients: using the movement patterns of functional fitness to help them get stronger than they ever thought possible.
She studied kinesiology at the University of Illinois and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Duke University. She has specialized in active people since, and got into pelvic floor therapy after seeing a gap in care for active pregnant and postpartum women. She loves dispelling myths like “pregnant women shouldn’t lift weights” and “exercising with a prolapse will make it worse” (she has helped clients do both).
Outside the clinic you’ll usually find Norah in athleisure with her hair in a side braid, spending time with her husband and two kids.
